I dont want to be seen to be boasting, but I am a little excited. I just placed an order on friday for my next car. Unfortunately its delivery date isnt until the second quarter of 2009.

But I am sure you would agree that a C63 is worth the wait

. Honestly it has the best sound I have heard in a long long time from a stock car.

I drove the new M3 and wasnt impressed. yes it handled but it didnt do anything below 4 grand. It is built for the track not the street. The AMG C63 is different. I drives fantastically in heavy traffic but feels like you are driving a stroker as soon as you squeeze the throttle. Oh and it sounds so good. Plus it was 30 grand cheaper than the M3.

Nice one Col. Another mate of mine has just bought himself a s/h AMG 65CL....a handy 450kw and 1000nm from 2000 - 4000rpm... At the moment he's wincing over quotes of $5k ea for the ceramic discs...

Seldo, After driving it I fell in love with it.

It will be different to driving around in a turbo diesel sahara thats for sure

Great buy ss, my wife works for a merc dealership over here in Perth as a contract detailer and she loves the V8's, she just keeps telling me she loves the push in the seat feel...

well he picked it up at 10am odd yesterday morning, and apart from a lightning stop over at my humble abode, hasn't been sighted since . think he might be out enjoying the delights this awesome MB delivers

...and loud..did some one say LOUD, Holden , or any Aus manufacturer would never get away with these noise levels on a new car imho...sweet sweet music.

From what I have been told they are loud, dont they have that design similar to the varex mufflers where they change to flow freer

She is right. They are very nice. They are so far above the commodores it isnt funny. Of course you could buy several commodores for the same money

so for what they are worth I still love them.

Thanks Darren. I must say I have been very frustrated driving this car this week as every time I have driven it the traffic was heavy. I cant wait to see some open road. !!!!!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean about traffic and the purchasing of a new vehicle so that's why i took the new beast on a trip up to Dubbo and back not long after i got it.........it's all about running in the new engine isn't it

So have you been able to go for an extended run on open raods and in dry weather yet?
