I worked on Jags, Stags, TR7s etc in the early 80s. Sure the Poms can make great cars body, suspension and interior wise but from about 1975 up forget about their engines and running gear. We used to do a lot of 186S reds into Stags but I never did a V8 conversion on a XJ6/XJ12 Jag although a few were starting to surface around 1981 to my recollection. I know the guys with red motored Stags were very pleased with their performance and reliabilty compared to the abortion of a V8 they had from the factory which were 2 TR7/Dolomite donks joined together! How many Wally's have you embarrassed at the lights so far Brewskie?
