Tonight the Cab engine was fired up & tuned on Sam's engine dyno. It's all finished & ready to go into the car.
Some pics of the engine on the dyno & a bad video of it firing up for the first time. ![]() ![]() A short video of it starting. Ignore the smoke that was just oil all over the headers etc... It's Alive! |

Nice power graph ~ over 580hp at 6500rpm ~
Does this mean madmanz and SRPerformance were the closest? GOGO the cab! Joe

Here is the real dyno chart.
![]() We could have got more out of it. Sam & i discussed this but in the end we decided to add more fuel at the top end for safety to compensate for the temp changing as we enter spring & go through to summer. I Can't thank Sam enough for spending yet another night at the workshop for V8Owners. It's just a shame some more members were not present to see how its all done. I learnt a lot last night on how an engine is tuned on an engine dyno compared to a chassis Dyno. The setting up on the dyno itself is rather complicated, not nearly as complicated at monitoring all the parameters for each cylinder individually though. I cant wait to give it a run down the 1/4. |

One word,WEAPON
So 437 FWKW or thats what I worked it out to be using international HP. Man I cannot wait to see the cab on the 1/4. Good work Sam's, of course Pete is there any chance of explaining the top pic and all the probes and diagnostic lines etc that are going into different parts of the engine. Like you said it would have been great if more people could have been there to see how this process unfolds. I am interested indeed Cheers, Troy ![]() |

Its going to be fast
Its going to be fast! Thats maybe more than 330rwkw - interesting to see through that converter - what both torque unlocked and power is.??
At the weight you race at it should be easily enough to do under 11.00 even with a 1.60 60 footer. Its 10.75 even at 1600kg. Study some timeslip data and get an awareness of time at half track and 1000 that will send you under 11.00. I think anything under 7.1s will be high risk and under Its going to be 125mph plus so anything under 9.20s will be certain to make an 11.00. If it it was 122mph then it would be 9.15s |
