I am in the process of starting to assemble the drag car & have realised that i would like to run 2 pcm's. This will enable me to switch between the 2 when necessary.
At this stage i have 2 options i think??? 1. Physically swap the PCM's 2. Build a switching unit that will switch between the 2 As there are many wires that would need to be switched i was thinking about utilsing a serial switch box. They used to be popular to switch between printers in the old days. Does anybody have any suggestions?? ![]() |

EFI Live custom OS allow switching between tunes with a simple switch....eg, NOS/NA is commonly done and can happen enroute the 1320 ft mark, to engage NOS at say half track.....
now where would I have heard about that. gh |

The reason i ask is not really because of the tune. It is more related to running different tunes using different software from different tuners for different car setups. (lots of different's there) I have looked into this & i think the best solution is to just relocate the pcm in the cabin & just swap them when needed. |

EFILive v2 tuning tool in the future will be able to hold 5 different tunes. It's able to do this as it has provisions for a SD card. When it's all setup all you do pick a tune to flash in. Probably takes under 2 mins to do.
How far off is anyone's guess. Bad news is Efilive can not read HPtuners tunes that have the HPtuners optional custom operating system in it. But it can read normal tunes made by HPtuners. Oh and the tunes have to be unlocked. I haven't checked out HPtuners forum for a while, but I'm sure they will be looking at something similar. Cheers Les |

I think i may have a solution for this question now.
I am permanently mounting an Asus EEEPC in the car. I decided this option because i now have so many items that can be configured & so many logging points now. I will use for the following. Hp Tuners = load tunes/log runs. Progressive NOS controller = make adjustments . Wide band = make adjustments / log runs. Gareth will give you a call in 2 weeks when i get back from QLD, always up for new ideas & concepts. |
