1 hole airbox mod for the cab
After all of the hard work that went into the new motor i thought it best to run the Harrop LS112 with a filter this time out to avoid any nasty mishaps.
So the first thing i did was convert my 2 hole airbox to a one hole airbox. After making the hole large enough i whipped up a quick mould out of some waste plastic & made the intake that will replace the headlight. I have since put another layer of glass on the scoop. I will finish this tomorrow night. Next thing to do is fabricate the 5" maf pipe & new airbox lid. |

1 Hole airbox mod part II
Part II.
This is a big rush job so no points for presentation, function is the call for the day. Liverpool exhaust made up a piece of 5" pipe reduced to 4" at one end for this job. Next was to cut the air-box & mark the pipe ready to cut. (oops forgot the pic of the cut box) The pipe. ![]() Here is the 5" pipe with the first cut. ![]() The pipe & airbox after a bit of handy work with my handy dandy angle grinder. ![]() Line it up in the cab & hold it in place with good old Gaff tape. ![]() The inside view before fiberglassing ![]() After fiberglassing. ![]() & a peak inside ![]() ![]() Fitted in the cab, phew, one job done. ![]() Easy as!! I think this would probably work just as well as any CAI ![]() |

It was a prototype & needed some fine tuning, it was restrictive & made the cab run rich. I am sure he will have it sorted shortly. ![]() |

I'm one of the people who is missing the part of the brain that allows them to work successfully with fibreglass, and I reckon you've done a bloody good job.
That looks pretty damn good Peter. Well done, should get a fair old induction roar going. <-- A smilie roaring. ![]() |
